AI Short Course for Beginners
Description
Call Contents
This introductory AI short course gives beginners a clear, practical foundation in artificial intelligence and machine learning. The first half covers core conceptsβwhat AI and ML are, key terminology, data collection and cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and the basics of supervised learning (regression and classification). Participants learn how to evaluate models using intuitive metrics and validation techniques, and receive a non-technical overview of neural networks and deep learning. Short lectures and real-world examples establish conceptual understanding without overwhelming math or coding.
The second half emphasizes hands-on practice and responsible use: guided labs using beginner-friendly tools to build simple models, a demo showing how to deploy a basic AI prototype, and sessions on ethics, bias, and data privacy. The course concludes with next-step resources, suggested projects, and paths for continued learning so attendees leave able to prepare datasets, train and assess simple models, create a small AI demo, and apply best practices for responsible AI development.
